About Us!

Jeff, President and Founder of JT Cigar Reviews.

30 years old, will be 31 October 2012. Graduated from Roosevelt High School in Des Moines, IA. Been smoking cigars since I was 18 years old. My top absolute favorite stogies are...

La Gloria Cubana, Cusano 10th Year Anniversary, Cuvee 151, Por Larrangas, huge Rocky Patel fan, Cuban cigars, (shh). Along with many more others including Mild, Medium and Full Body, which I lean towards more Medium to Full Body cigars. I like a creamy nutty mild smoke now and then to ease the tummy. I have a cigar for BREAKFAST!

My Wonderful Fiancee!

Trina, CEO and Founder of JT Cigar Reviews.

30 Years old, will be 31 this January 2012. Graduated from Red Mountain High School in 1999 in Mesa, AZ. Been smoking cigars since I was 20 years old. My top favorites are...

Por Larranga (Connecticut and Maduro), HUGE Bolivar fan, La Gloria Cubana's (Maduro and Series R), Cusano 10th Year Anniversary, Rocky Patel Edge Maduro(love this cigar, I get one every time we go too Carefree, AZ at Maduro Cigar, GREAT CIGAR SHOP), Cuban cigars and many more strong, full body cigars. Oh yeah, if you go down to Robson and Main St. in Mesa, AZ there is a shop Habano Torres, he rolls his own cigars THEY ARE AWESOME!!! I had Tim roll me his extra strong cigar with 30 year old aged tobacco and I could only smoke half of it at the time I think because I haven't eaten anything that whole day.  Next time we go there I am going to have him roll me one that is from 50 year old aged tobacco thats the strongest he goes.  I KNOW IT WILL BE AWESOME, I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!   Like I said, I prefer more fuller smokes with that kick because I'm a strong woman. If you think I can't handle a strong cigar, bring it on!

Welcome To JT Cigar Reviews, we smoke and share our opinions!

This site was put together by me Jeff and my lovely fiancee Trina, which we love smoking cigars when we get the chance, well, which is quite often. Everybody has different tastes and opinions about what they drink and smoke. So we like to share with you our opinions on what we taste in the cigars. There are many review sites, especially sites that sell cigars, humidors and accessories. We buy a lot of cigars, we personally have three humidors that keep our cigars well humidified. We especially like to order cigars from one of our favorite cigar sites, www.cigarinternational.com and we purchase our cigars from many cigar shops in Arizona, like Fox, Tinderbox, Cubanaos and Cigar King!

How We Rate Our Cigars!!

If you are wondering how we rate our cigars, this is how we do it.

1) We look at the texture of the cigar.

2) We look to see if the cigar wrapper is smooth, vainy, does the cigar have spots on it?

3) Then we try to smell the cigar before lighting it to see if we can smell the aroma of the cigar.

4) After we cut the cap/head of  the cigar, we test the draw.

5) Then we light the cigar either with a flame lighter like a Bic, a torch lighter like a Colibri or a match and we try to identify the aroma from the foot of the cigar.

6) Then we move on to testing our taste buds and we try to smoke our cigars down as far as possible so we taste the cigar all the way through. So we'll be able to tell if the cigar is mild, medium, full or changes through out the cigar. Like it might taste mild at the beginning but at the end, it throws in either a medium or full body kick.

7) We figure out if the cigar tastes peppery, creamy, nutty, earthy, cedery/woody and etc.
